Cathy's Fibromyalgia tips

Cathy's Fibromyalgia Story

My fibromyalgia history and diagnosis
My fibromyalgia story goes like this: at the age of 28, I knew something was wrong because I was fatigued most of the time. Then came the pain, sleepless nights, and irritations during the day. My first doctor simply told me that they cannot find anything wrong with me. He told me to take it easy, and not to stress out too much. Gee thanks(!) I told him inwardly in my mind. My next doctor (a lady doctor) suspected correctly what was wrong with me. She referred me to another doctor that properly diagnosed me.

My fibromyalgia symptoms
Fibromyalgia fog, severe tender point pain, irritated at everyone in the day (before), insomnia, major fatigue and exhaustion.

My fibromyalgia dos and don'ts
When getting diagnosed, do go to a doctor who knows that fibromyalgia is an actual illness. Don't go to a doctor who does not believe in the illness. Keep moving. Stay away from noisy areas. Get quiet and meditate to calm yourself down and remove the stress. Yoga helps me, maybe it may help you.
