Gerry's Fibromyalgia story

Geri's Fibromyalgia Story

My fibromyalgia history and diagnosis
While a doctor did diagnose me with fibromyalgia, it was my massage therapist who told me that I have trigger points (chronic myofasical pain) throughout my body as well. He taught me the distinction between tender points and trigger points.

My fibromyalgia symptoms
myofascial pain, fibromyalgia, headaches, fibrofog, hypoglycemia, candida.

My fibromyalgia dos and don'ts
Since I have chronic myofascial pain along with fibromyalgia, I suggest the book "Fibromyaglia and Chronic Myofascial Pain" by Devin Starlanyl. I also recommend the author's website at sover/~devstar. My massage therapist uses the myofascial release technique on me, as well as a swedish massage which helps me alot. I cannot stretch so I do not recommend stretching but I would say to do some gentle exercises. There are numerous videos available to teach you how to exercise without straining.
